Memorabilia from the Singapore Amateur Football Association (SAFA)

From 1892 to 1966, the Football Association of Singapore (FAS), was known as the Singapore Amateur Football Association (SAFA). The FAS is the oldest FA in Asia, having being founded in 1892. It celebrates its 125th Birthday on 29th August 2017.

Let's take a look at the various logos of SAFA/FAS, through the ages:

This medal and pin are from the 1960s, possibly just after the name change.
Notice that blue has always been a
colour of choice for the FAS.

A SAFA Handbook from Season 1961. This handbook is something of a cross between an Annual Report and a Rulebook.

SAFA EXCO circa 1961

Front & Back views of two SAFA Medals.
The one on the right is from 1949, so this should rightfully be the oldest piece of football memorabilia that I own!
Notice that the bigger medal on the left, dated 18th May 1961, bears "Majulah Singapura" and this is because the Singapore Flag, Coat of Arms &
"Majulah Singapura" were inaugurated on
3 Dec 1959
