Visiting Sports Museums & NOCs whilst overseas

Whenever I'm overseas, I always make it a point to visit the local National Olympic Committee (NOC) or Sports Museums because it is always refreshing to see how different countries/sports associations showcase their respective sporting histories.

Learn from the best practices of others & widen one's world view - that's my motto!

Here are a couple of my favourite sports museums & galleries, that I've had the pleasure of visiting in early 2016:

1) Sports Museum in Bangkok, Thailand

Part Library & Part Museum, this amazing place is located within the National Stadium compound in downtown Bangkok.

Immaculately kept - various ribbons from the 5th Asian Games in 1966!

They even have a gallery of sports attires, through the ages, which was the inspiration for the SSA Exhibition Mannequins

Each piece of memorabilia is lovingly documented and stored - a labour of love!

2) Heritage Gallery at Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The FAM has a gallery that greets all visitors as they step into the FA's building. In my opinion, it is very well done and gives everyone a quick overview of the FAM's rich history:

The FA Cup, which the Lions XII last won in 2015, beating Kelantan 3-1!
